Collaborative teams assembled in PIMA 702 design and develop large-scale interactive media performance projects based on a proposal put forward the previous semester.
The production process includes, at a minimum, storyboarding, scriptwriting, software design, and interactive software development. Securing of off-campus venues for the presentation of work is required. Community involvement is encouraged.
PIMA 703 completes the required three-course Interactive Arts Advanced Certificate sequence. In this class certificate students create their culminating collaborative projects, drawing upon the production experience, theoretical work and programming training of PIMA 701 and 702, Interactive Arts electives, previous Interactive Arts collaborations, and the professional and academic experience they have brought to the program.
Projects
Students shall complete the following projects during the course of the semester:
Public presentation and documentation of a Collaborative Production. The work is presented to the public in a New York metropolitan area venue secured by the students.
