David Reeder [PIMA 2003-4]
David Reeder is engaged in both classical and electro-acoustic composition. In the last year, his acoustic works include pieces for percussion and chamber ensemble. He has recently completed a string trio which will be performed in early May 2004. He studies privately with Giampaolo Bracali, faculty at Manhattan School of Music. David also nurtures his interest in electronic music as a graduate student in the Performance and Interactive Media Arts (PIMA) program at Brooklyn College. Current explorations include combining improvised and choreographed dance with sound design via MAX/MSP and SoftVNS. Katie Schmitz [MFA, Digital Arts 2003-5]
Katie May Schmitz is an MFA student in Digital Art at Brooklyn College. Primarily, she works with video but is also exploring computer music and animation. Currently, her work deals with the power exchange that occurs between men and women during sexually loaded Situations. She holds a BS in Journalism. Before coming to New York to pursue her MFA she lived and taught English in Seoul, South Korea. She has taken PIMA classes as part of her MFA, and collaborates with the PIMA students.

Martin Simon [PIMA 2003-4]
Born in Slovakia, Martin Simon has lived in NYC since 1998. Trained in composition, performance and interactive arts, his work features sound, image, improvisation and public involvement. His artistic language leans towards indiscriminate manifestation of inherent personal resources in an authentic mutual interaction - in a personal, sincere and extemporaneous manner.

Kimberly Simpson [PIMA 2003-4]
Both a digital and analog artist, Kimberly Simpson works in the fields of sculpture, digital video, and net art. Working for many years as a graphic designer in New York City, she recently united her dual passions of computer-based design and visual art during her graduate work at Brooklyn College, where she completed a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Digital Media. Currently, she is experimenting in the fields of sound and radio. Examples of her work can be found at www.artisticbabe.com, and on the rhizome.org ArtBase.

David Watson [PIMA 2003-4]
is a musician, composer, performer; he has done the gamut from CBGB's to the Lincoln Center. His work has been released on Avant, Tzadik, Ariel, Braille, Sonic Arts Network, Zoar, Leo, Nine Winds, Ecstatic peace. Upccoming release on XI. He is currently exploring other media through the PIMA program.

Elizabeth Whalley [PIMA 2003-4]
is a painter and printmaker currently involved through PIMA with video and other media.  Interested in how old and new technologies and modes of expression co-exist in art today.
